We stayed for one week, and it was fantastic. The apartment was great, everything worked, and had everything we needed. Greg from Reliable Realty was kind, helpful and available. The Playa Turquesa complex itself was beautiful, and all the people working there were, again, kind and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Nicely decorated, easy booking process and all communications were promptly answered. Just as described. I would definitively book again!
Just got back from staying at Playa Turquesa, unit J202. We were happy to find the unit as described. It was clean and in pretty good shape (it isn't a new condo). It was nice to provide each of our 3 kids with their own room (and bathroom!) on vacation, which is often not the case. Also, as previously described the view and constant sea breeze made the place very comfortable. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and pool. Having a view of the pool meant our 8 year old could go on his own as we could watch from the deck. The newly opened beach restaurant served delicious food and fresh fruit drinks. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from Todd/Yiseiry at Reliable Realty to Greg during check in/out agent to Jacob at the restaurant. We enjoyed our stay!
Feeling a little underwhelmed as we pulled into the entrance of Playa Turquesa, I wasn't quite sure of what lay ahead for our group. Once we checked in and met with Gregory, who was very thorough and courteous, we started feeling better. The unit was extremely clean and all the bedrooms we're adequately sized. It wasn't until I went out into the patio that I realized why we picked this unit, the view is absolutely amazing and the constant breeze allowed us to keep the sliding doors and windows open. This made for many comfortable evenings on the patio, drinking cocktails and enjoying the views.
As for dining, the choices were ample and quality good. If seafood is your preference then Captain Cook is the place. Though a little pricey relative to some of the other local places, the grilled seafood platter, which fed 2, was definitely worth the price. Much closer to the complex there are easily 1/2 dozen or more places to try. You can get authentic Dominican food, Cuban cuisine, Italian, seafood and more. There are even a couple of pastry shops you can visit to start your day or cap off your dinners.
Overall our stay at Playa Turquesa and our unit in particular was much better than our group expected. The complex was clean, the beach was fantastic (not to mention the beachside bar, where Jacobo cooked up some tasty treats) and the location was great.
If all inclusive is not for you, then I would highly recommend Playa Turquesa. Todd, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. Despite the many questions I had for him he always replied in a timely manner.

My children and I absolutely loved this condo!!!! The condo provided most of the amenities a family would need for a perfect vacation. The couches and bedding were very comfortable. The decor is lovely and is upscale for the most part. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The proximity to the ocean was perfect. With the constant breeze coming off of the ocean, we were able to keep the windows open which kept the condo cool without having to run AC unless it was an exceptionally humid day. It was a very quiet community, and we were able to sleep with the windows and sliding glass doors open. After walking the beach both north and south from the condo, we truly felt that Playa Turquesa had the best beach even in comparison to the surrounding resorts. The grounds and beach are well maintained. The pools are crystal clear. The gas grill served us well for several meals. Safety is not of concern, as everyone was very friendly and security presence is at the gate and on the beach.
Gregory who was the contact person for our rental was exceptional. The taxi driver stopped at the supermarket on the way from the airport so that we could get groceries. There are several restaurants nearby. We highly recommend Wacamole, just a few steps from the security gate. The convenience store onsite offers enough variety that if you didn't get what you needed at the supermarket you can get it there.
The only negative things we could say is: There are no board games, gaming console, beach toys etc... for use. (We brought board games and my son's X-Box). There are only two TVs, one in the living room and the primary master bedroom. Internet connection is very slow.
Overall our experience was WONDERFUL!!!! We are so happy that we choose this property for our first vacation in the Dominican, and we look forward to booking this property again in the future!!!!
Have stayed in Playa Turquesa many times. Without question this the best condo within the Playa Turquesa community, expansive extra large balcony with unobstructed ocean views and soft breezes all day and night, we were on the balcony for all meals of the day, and then worked with our laptops on the table with this million dollar view. This has always been for me the most ideal beach and well manicured grounds, crystal clear pools and a very exclusive location of which very few locations can compare.. from the multiple condos that I have rented within this beachfront community, this condo without question is the best location, layout, and floorplan that I have enjoyed. Its actually to me better than the condos direct waterfront, because feels like waterfront but with just enough distance from the sand so that the tourists strolling the beaches dont peek in, more privacy. Would highly recommend and would absolutely rent again as soon as possible.
